University Life
They'd never really explicitly discussed him being a Mer, it was just an unspoken fact at this point- though he wasn't sure how she'd figured it out if he never actually told her.
(He forgot that she took him to the pool during one of their first summer dates.)
After breakfast, the two buckled down and started working. There were lots of first-day assignments to get through, and not a whole lot of time to do them.
Aukai took a break after a couple assignments to go get the mail. Rent wasn't too bad in this place, it seemed... there was also something else, a beautiful citrine.
That he tucked away in his pocket. He had plans for that crystal, and it wasn't time for Liliana to know them yet.
On the way back up, Aukai runs into the landlord, Panya Li. He seems pleasant enough, just there to make sure they're getting settled in alright.
As the night started to wind down, Liliana spent a couple hours playing MySims Racing before going to bed. Aukai wasn't much of a gamer himself, but he did enjoy watching her play.
Tuesday morning marks the first official day of term. Liliana only had one class that day, in the afternoon, but Aukai had two. After talking about it, the two decide to head out to campus early, to start to get familiar with the area and be close by when their classes started.
To Aukai's delight, there just so happened to be an open river running along the Foxbury campus. Abandoning his original plan of working on his term paper, Aukai took to the water.
It wasn't as nice as the shores of Plumbite Cove, but it would do.
Though Aukai invited her to join him in the water, it was still a little chilly for Liliana's taste so early in the morning. She set up in the research area of the Foxbury Commons, starting working on her term presentation for Building with Cells instead.
It was pleasantly quiet, this time of day. She wouldn't mind working on assignments here in the future.
Aukai got a little bit lost on his way back from the river, and was nearly late for his first class. The campus is so huge, it's no wonder!
When she got out of class, Liliana discovered that the Foxbury Statue had been vandalized! Must've been some UBrite prankster... she had to wait for Aukai anyway, so she took some time to clean it up.
They'd just have to get Britechester back, of course.
Back at the apartment, Aukai worked on his homework while Liliana tried out a new game on the console called Density Effect. He liked his coursework so far, though questioning their mutual decision to enroll in four classes each... maybe a lighter load was in order next term.
From there, the couple settled into a regular routine. They'd travel to the Foxbury Commons together every morning, and spend the time between classes working on assignments. Then, once classes were over, they'd go home for the evening and unwind and spend time together.
University life was shaping up to be pretty nice so far.
